Willem graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 1996 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Shortly thereafter he travelled to the United States where he obtained an MBA from the South-Eastern Louisiana University.

While in the USA, Willem worked for a fledgling IT company in California in the heady days leading up to the dotcom bubble in the early 2000’s. He later joined a Californian health insurer where he managed group programs for employers such as Lockheed Martin and Google. All in all, Willem draws on international experience in consulting and advisory services that spans a period of more than 10 years.

As is fitting for an engineer, Willem takes an analytical approach to personal financial planning, but ultimately appreciates the importance of understanding each individual’s unique circumstances and needs.

Whenever possible, he spends his time outdoors and enjoys camping and cycling.
